Losing the Baby Weight :)

So, this is just a question that I want to pose. How do you all lose the baby weight? I weigh the same that I did when Asher was born and he is 8 months old. I know that I can eat less and exercise more, but did any of you mothers have a hard time losing the baby weight? It's not like I sit at home and eat all day, and I try to walk/run often, but it seems like I'm kinda stuck.

Please share advice, your own stories or just tell me that I look just fine - haha not really :) Thanks again, it's fun to be back in touch better with you all! Laura

Ah the "baby pooch" or "badge of motherhood".

The only child I've ever been able to loose all my "baby weight" was after #2 (Jordan) was born. All the others? STILL WORKING ON IT.

Having a baby changes you in so many ways... your body never going back to normal is one of them!

Wear your "badge" proud, I say! It's not worth the stress involved to have it go away! *winks*

Well the movie "The Secret" tells us that by the law-of-attraction what ever you think about most will eventually materialize over time. I just think about my body looking like Brooke Burk's (3 and one on the way, baby body) and hope that mine materializes into that.

Laura! I miss you so! You DO look great, I am still amazed by the change (ie havoc) my babies wrought on my body. My advice- give it a whole year before you panic, it takes time...lots and lots of time. Congrats on the marriage and adorable baby!

I haven't had a baby, but I think I'll try to keep track of calories (I've already talked to you about this), and exercise. That website I told you about lets you know how many calories you burn when you do certain activities, and I found another one that tells you how many calories you should eat a day to lose weight (I think they have one for nursing mothers, too). Anyway, I think you're fabulous and look awesome! Let me know if I can do anything for you!

I have been searching for you, hoping you had a blog. YEAH! Asher is so cute. I love you! It is pretty crazy what babies do to your body. My only advice is mix up your exercise routine (do stuff your body is not used to doing).

I was never able to loose my baby weight. I was something like 7 lbs when I was born and have done nothing but gain weight since.

Nonetheless, I recently heard of a killer diet: nothing but “shit-take” mushrooms and “Kwa-sa-dil-as.” It seems like a great diet... Think of it this way, you’ll loose weight and your shopping bill will substantially decrease. Basically, you’re killing one bird with two stones!

Or, you could run the second half of all those marathons.

:)

(P.S. We love you just the way you are.)

You are all so sweet and hilarious! I think if I did implement "the secret" into my life I might end up looking like Brooke Burk... but I might have to stick with the counting calories or "shit-take" mushrooms only diet! (that was what I called them at a Asian restaurant in Oregon one time) Thanks for all your comments, love you all!

I lost all but 5 pounds really quickly, and I think it was because of nursing. She almost never had a bottle. During that winter before I started walking I probably used my Fit Mama (pregnancy) DVD. Actually, I still do at least a couple times a month. I enjoy running, but I think I'd have a flatter stomach if I ran more than the once or twice a week.

Laura...first of all you are BEAUTIFUL! Secondly, it's just a pain in the butt. I thought it was hard to lose weight before I had a baby, and afterwards I've decided it's 10 fold.

I remember a long time ago being in your room and you showing me an older picture of yourself (in heavier days) and I was truly inspired. Just hang in there, because you can do it! Just don't beat yourself up over it.

Yea Laura you have a blog!!!! How cute is your little fam. I love it. As for the weight I agree with Bethany. I still haven't lost all of my Max weight but after my first I didn't offically loose all of my baby weight until like Madi was 11 months and then it just kept coming off. So maybe it will be easier in a couple of months! anyways glad your a blogger now!!! Love ya Brandi
